About the Photography Librarium Page

This page is intended to be used by anyone with an interest in photography and its history, practitioners, techniques, and tools. The print resources are intended to provide users with good adult, undergraduate student level and above introductory material on the topic. Online resources are intended to supplement this information, provide additional bibliographies, offer primary source text and information or provide access to images.

The grid displayed can either show the entirety of the resource collection or be filtered to only show materials of one of the five resource types considered (Reference Books, Books, Databases, Online Resources, and Image Resources). The sidebar's "Filters " section can be expanded to reveal these filters. Only one filter can be used at a time, and the filter can be removed by selecting "all".

Each Grid item contains an image related to the resource such as the cover of the book, the resource's title, and selected information about the resource. For books, reference books, and databases, each "grid item" contains a subheading with the author, primary editor, or publisher of the material displayed at left and the date of publication (for books) or the coverage dates (for databses) at right. All "grid items" contain a short blurb of information about the resource below the heading/subheading, a bar of links for finding or visiting the resource and citations where relevant. The "grid items" all also feature a large, purple "read more" button, which will open a modal pop-up with an extended description of the resource in question.

The sidebar image, the favicon and all included screenshots on this site are my own creations. Base page theme for the main page is from peachthms and the page theme for this page and the background page are from southcodes. The main page has multiple code modifications by me. Other images are variously from the website of the publishers of books, booksellers carrying the titles, and from the site itself. Flat icons are all from fontawesome's basic kit. Selected js is from W3 schools.
